PROGRAMS

The Safe Return Project is achieving more with our strategic policy initiatives than ever before. With that understanding comes the responsibility of training the most underserved and underrepresented members of our community. The Safe Return Project's leadership programs are unique in that we acknowledge our communities’ whole selves and do not discriminate in developing their leadership and preparing them to be civically engaged.

JOIN COLLECTIVE IMPACT

The Collective Impact Institute fosters leadership among men, women, and youth whom the criminal justice system has directly impacted. If you are a Contra Costa and formerly Incarcerated resident, we encourage you to join.

RICHARD BOYD FELLOWSHIP

Our vision for the program is to grow a culture of formerly incarcerated community organizers and leaders to lead the movement for mass liberation and begin that work here at home in Contra Costa County. We want to empower leaders that will advocate and speak truth to power, analyze and put together data to tell the story of truth and light the path for others to follow in their footsteps as they boldly lead us to a new future and way of living.

CREDIBLE MESSENGERS

When you become a mentor, you help shape the next generation of our youth. Join us in our vision to reinvest in our young and develop leaders who solve problems by bringing their lived experiences as an asset to the issues they take on tomorrow.

COLLECTIVE IMPACT INSTITUTE

The Collective Impact Leadership Institute fosters leadership among adults and youth whom the criminal legal system has directly impacted. It is committed to investing in the personal transformation of all formerly incarcerated people working to build their lives in Richmond and throughout Contra Costa County.
